Copies of  the Great Composers book are available at the Crossover Center.

Directions for Step 2:

  • First, read the historical sketch and musician's story with your tutor. It is permissible for a tutor to read the book to you, or for you and your tutor to take turns reading.
  • Next, listen to the composition for that musician. Each Stories of the Great Composers book has an audio CD in the back pocket.
  • The HP desktop computers have built in CD-ROM drives. Choose one of these computers. Listen with earphones!
  • Third, take the composer quiz. When you have read a composer's historical sketch and story and have listened to the musical composition, come back to this page. Scroll down to the name of the composer you learned about and take the online quiz for that composer.
